Your child's science classroom may look very different than yours did! While science education has traditionally focused on facts and vocabulary, emerging research suggests that such instruction has not supported all students in understanding key ideas in science or how scientific knowledge develops. In MA, we are now using a new set of curriculum frameworks (standards) that are based on such research.
